Our family of 10, 6 adults and 4 children couldn't have been more happy with this home! First off, the location was perfect, just off #101 but a million miles away as far as the area - beautiful vistas, quiet couentryside but easy access to a grocery store if you need it. We never left from the time we arrived on Tuesday until Saturday. The home is lovely and has everything our family wanted - a swimming pool, hot tub, a play structure and a huge lawn for all imaginable games. Plus the outside has a huge gas grill and two firepits and a movie screen for late night movies, not to mention the two large decks. Then you walk inside to a beautiful, well-appointed, expansive family room, and well stocked kitchen all open and so inviting. The master suite was huge and the big surprise for our 4 and 6 year old grandchildren was a bedroom with a set of bunk beds! Our host was very helpful with two questions we had and got right back to us! We are definitely planning a trip back to this location!
Generally homes look better in pictures. Not in this case. What we enjoyed most: - incredibly peaceful setting with stunning views of the vineyard and hills - huge 50 ft pool and enough space for an 8 on 8 football game (or lacrosse since they have goals) - high quality touches throughout (Heath Ceramics, Restoration Hardware, Parachute, etc.) - very comfortable beds (even the sofabed) Pam and her team also provided excellent service and went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended.
Thanks so much for your help while we were at Starling's Rest! We very much enjoyed our stay and can't say enough good things about the facility. We loved it and plan to head back at some time when everyone in our family is available.We never left the house as it had everything we wanted right in one location, which is so much easier with children. We took good care of your beautiful home and cooked some amazing meals in the lovely well-stocked kitchen and totally enjoyed the table on the front porch for our nightime meals overlooking the valley and lunch on the back deck watching the children play.
Our group of cyclists/golfers stayed here for four nights. The compound includes a beautiful home with two detached units that contain additional bedrooms and kitchens. This place is amazing: large spa, pool, frisbee golf, basketball hoop, every kitchen utensil and appliance you would ever need and more. It was perfect for our group. I am seriously thinking of arranging a trip for our immediate family (my mom and dad, siblings and all of your kids) and staying here. Can't say enough nice things about the folks managing the property, as well. They were terrific, from first contact to swiftly crediting the damage deposit after we departed. Loved every minute of our stay. Hope to return soon!
We had an amazing time here. The outdoor space features many games/activities and the pool and hot tub are great for relaxing. Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. The location is great for getting around, but I will note that the highway therefore isn’t far. All around beautiful home. Highly recommend for larger groups (we had 4 couples) and we definitely want to come back!
This is our second stay at the " Farmhouse" and it just has become our favorite place to stay. With 6 adults and 3 kids there was lots of space and everyone could find a place to chill if they wanted some quiet time. The house has always been possibly, the cleanest house we have ever rented ( and there have been many ). Even the pool was pristine- My daughters were asking me " when are we coming back? " and we hadn't even left yet. Thank you, Pamela, for letting us have the opportunity for sharing this peaceful place to reconnect and share time with my daughters and their families. It will be on the list of fun and priceless memories for my children and especially my grandchildren!
The property is amazing. Clean and well stocked with everything you need to cook with in the kitchen. Beds cozy and spacious living room. Outside the playground and pool were wonderful for all of us to enjoy. Check in was easy as well as leaving the property. Thank you
Property was even better than expected, very comfortable beds and bedding. Fully equipped kitchen with all necessities. Thoughtful property management and communications. This is a property I would book again without hesitation.
