Born and raised in Cuba, Carlitos Medrano came to the US after having trained with one of Cuba’s most famous congueros, Jose Luis “Changuito” Quintana. While in Cuba, he played extensively with some of Havana’s best-known Latin Jazz and Salsa groups, and, since coming to the US, has played with many of the Bay Area’s finest Latin groups. In December 2012, he created his own recording, entitled Sabor De Mi Cuba, recorded and mastered in the prestigious Egrem Studios in Havana, Cuba.

Make it all about great music, family fun, and dancing on the big green grass this summer with Luther Locals Live, LBC’s free outdoor concert series featuring the local bands you love. Plus local eats, craft beers, and Rodney Strong Vineyards wines. All under the shade of the LBC Pavilion!

Ample parking on site. No outside food or beverages permitted. IDs checked at the bar. For the safety and comfort of all our patrons, pets are not allowed.

- Limited seating area under the Pavilion tent includes chairs, small cocktail tables with chairs, and dance space. If special accommodation is needed, please see the concierge table.
- Personal chairs and blankets are permitted only on the lawns outside the Pavilion.
- Food trucks onsite. No outside food or drink. Empty or sealed water bottles are permitted at outdoor events. LBC will provide water refill stations.
- No animals permitted except certified service animals, which must always remain on a leash or harness.
- Shoes and shirts are required at all performances.
- No smoking or vaping.
- Please be respectful of others and behave in an appropriate manner. Patrons who engage in illegal activities, are intoxicated, or are otherwise disruptive (including heckling, public nudity, and smoking in non-designated areas) will be escorted from the property. Usher and security representatives are available should you need assistance.
Parking
Parking at the North lot is closest to the main entrance. Entry to the Luther Locals Live Series is available from either the North or South parking lots.
Luther Burbank Center for the Arts is committed to a pleasant and safe experience for all.
The following items are prohibited:
- Outside food or drink (with the exception of empty or sealed water bottles)
- Glass Containers (Empty or sealed water bottles are permitted at outdoor events)
- Alcohol, illegal substances, and drug paraphernalia
- Weapons, including firearms and knives of any size or type, and any items that could be used as a weapon
- Pepper spray, mace, and other chemicals
- Animals, except for certified service animals
